2024 PRODUCTS ROUNDUP

Hi friends,
I am sharing with you some of the products that I've tried in 2024 that I really liked (and some loved).  Over the past few years, I've been spending more time learning about skin care and taking care of my skin and that introduced me to different areas of grooming and products.  My immense curiosity in this topic  doesn't help as well.  I love traveling and fashion, but I want to evolve and make this blog more of a lifestyle blog.  I have more products to share.  To learn more about the products round up, click the link "read more"
The first product that I want to share is Tom Ford's Vanilla Sex fragrance.   I have a sensitive nose and a lot of the fragrances that I smell and try (and believe me I try so many), I get headaches from them.  I tried this scent as soon as it came out and got some samples and sampled it for two weeks. Thankfully, I didn't have any issues.  Back in March, I bought it at my local Tom Ford store and I was so excited.  The scent is warm and delectable but not in an artificial, cloying and sweetie-candy way.  It is creamy and inviting.   The only con is the hefty price tag!

Neutrogena Oil Free acne wash. I cannot believe that this product is so so so good. It goes to show that you don't need to spend hundreds of dollars for beauty products. Drugstore products are as good, if not even better!  This face wash helped decongest my skin and prevent breakouts as well. Additionally, it is good for sensitive skin as well. Try it go go go.

La Mer the Concentrate.
Ok guys, this is the real deal even though it's expensive. If you have dry skin like me, then this product is your salvation.  It helps with skin barrier repair.  ***Skin barrier is important to me and maybe I'll blog about that next time***  In summary, if you have a weak or broken skin barrier, then your face will be compromised and is more prone to breakouts, dryness, redness and whatever else.  Again, the price of this is not for the faint hearted. But repeat after me:  INVEST IN YOUR SKIN. INVEST IN YOUR SKIN. INVEST IN YOUR SKIN....  xoxo

Eucerin Ointment. Wow, this drugstore product can rival department store or high street ointments.  Aside from its fragrance-free scent, it is soooo moisturizing. It's good for the whole body especially now that the dreaded winter season is coming up.  Thankfully, it's available at your local drugstore.

Dior Show Brow gel.  For the longest time, I am a huge believer that eyebrows are the frame of the face. Think of your face as a picture and your hair and eyebrows are the picture frame.  This product is long lasting, unscented and adheres to the brows.  Dior beauty has amazing products (and thank you for the beauty event invites).

Augustinus Bader Cleansing Balm.  I love pre-cleansing or some people call it double cleansing.  I use this balm on dry skin and then  wash it off with water. Then, I follow up with my regular cleanser.  This balm gives me a hydrated skin barrier and glow as well.  Two words that are important to me at this day and age.   I Love this product.

OK GUYS, this next product is amazing, no spectacular!  IF you need a little pick me up in your area, please try an eye mask.  Better yet, try the Skin Gym's Gold Foil Eye Mask. It's moisturzing and perfect for getting ready before an event or before going out of the house.  I don't party anymore but if you are going to spend a night in the town overnight, this will help your eyes look wide awake.

One thing I love about Target is that they have a variety skin care brands that won't break the bank.  Naturium is one of those new-ish brands. Clean and effective and is great for sensitive skin. I haven't tried many of their products but the lip balm is the best.  So moisturizing and lasts rather long time on the lips. Again, I'm getting ready for the cold, wintry months and this will be on my to-buy list again.

I've heard of brassy shampoos from YouTube videos that I've watched in the past.  I use this Loreal Ever Pure Purple Shampoo a few times a month just to keep the brassiness away from my raven colored hair.  Sometimes, dark hair has a lot of red/brassy undertones and it's good to have that removed by this shampoo.  This is available at Ulta or local drugstores.

Alright, this next product is my first foray into hair mists.  I didn't care about hair mists before, I didn't know why one would need a hair mist but where I live, the summers are brutal and sweaty and that means sweaty scalp. That's when I bought this Diptyque Ilio hair mist and now I'm rest assured that I smell good from literally HEAD to TOE.

Westman Atelier is a clean, celebrity loved brand that I didn't know even existed. One time, my bestie and I were perusing Nordstrom one day and the lovely lady at W.A talked to me about the line. I started to do my research when I got home and knowing that I needed a bronzer stick.  I went back the following week and bought this bronzer and it's the best! NO fragrance and non-oily.  I will have some color in the winter time.

K18 is a haircare brand for the clean, vegan people out there.  This hair care line has a lot of holy grail products and this is my favorite product of theirs.  It is imperative that once a week we use a clarifying shampoo to rid of pollution, oil and free radicals and to make the hair squeaky clean.

I hope you enjoyed this blog post.  I love doing product round ups at the end of the year and I think every year I will continue to post this again.  I'm excited to try new things in 2025 and will be making notes for all of you.
This post is not sponsored, I really just adore these items.
*All these products were purchased by me unless stated otherwise.*
